Desperate Times, Desperate Needs: A Hard Lesson in Self-Worth

There comes a time in life when you reach your limit. When you’ve endured enough lies, neglect, and emotional abuse to finally stand up and say, “No more.”

This entire situation is a painful but powerful reminder: people who lack self-worth often return to what’s familiar instead of seeking what’s better. A man who can’t lead will always seek the weakest link, because that’s where he feels strongest. And a woman who hasn’t healed will continue to play the role of the “pick me,” hoping for love from someone who’s incapable of giving it.

But me? I’ve outgrown that, matter fact I shrunk myself. I always knew my standards. I know my worth. I know what real love and respect looks like — and a broken man will never have it to give. Not to me, not to her, not to anyone. Because you can’t give what you’ve never learned to value.

So if you’re reading this and you’re stuck in a cycle that’s draining your spirit — let this be your sign. You don’t have to settle for someone who can’t see your light. Sometimes the biggest blessing is the moment you finally walk away.

XO Jennie
